Follow Rivkah and Shemu’el as they spread the Gospel in Antioch.

Book Three of the Seeds of Christianity Series. Follow the lives of Rivkah and Shemu’el as they continue to spread the good news in Antioch and beyond. Tensions surface as the number of non-Jewish converts rises in Antioch. Barnabus brings Paul, but some oppose his new role.
Sha’oul, now renamed Paul, leaves on his first missionary journey accompanied by Barnabus and Yohan Markus. This saga of the Early Church takes a troubling turn when their youngest son adopts a pagan lifestyle. Antioch trembles in the grip of a ruthless serial killer. While Pavlos roams the streets looking for him Shemu’el fears he already knows the killer’s identity. Meanwhile in Rome, the Emperor Claudius tires of the ongoing conflict between the Christians and the Jews. Believing Christianity to be a sect of Judaism, he expels all Jews from Rome. Simon Petros is forced to leave his flock behind as he carries the Gospel to new lands and peoples. When all seems lost, Atticus is promoted to the office of Tribunus Medicus Militum, placing him in command of all of the army’s medical corps. He and his family travel to Rome to fill the gap left by Simon Petros’ departure. The beloved disciple, Yohan, has relocated to Ephesus for Miryam’s protection. He brings Shemu’el Evodius a new convert named Ignatius and asks him to mentor the young man. Though surrounded by chaos, the church in Antioch continues to grow in size and influence under Evodius’ competent leadership.

These books are aimed at any Christian who is interested in getting a feel for the Early Church. Contains Auhtor's Notes and a Sample Chapter from Book Four, Martyr. A reviewer said: “The first two installments to The Seeds of Christianity series, Witness and Disciple, set the expectations bar high. Apostle clears it with room to spare. A supporting cast of memorable characters emerges one by one as the Gospel takes root and grows in the unlikeliest of spiritual and societal soil. Historical figures like Simon Peter, Paul and Barnabas blend effortlessly in with the fictional characters as they transit Antioch on their missions to plant and nurture the Way throughout the known world.

A true delight of “The Seeds of Christianity” is not just the great storyline, but the historical setting the author so brilliantly depicts. Mr. Lewis has one foot planted firmly in an ancient history class and the other in a creative writing class. And he’s acing both courses. You feel the heat of the potter’s kiln on your face and the and cool of the wine grapes on your bare feet as everyday life in the ancient Middle East comes alive on each page. We help Paul construct his tentmaker’s loom and Hadassah knead her barley bread, all the while learning a stark lesson in what daily survival demanded of the first Christianoi. The joy of the lesson, though, lies in the tale and the prose, both of which Mr. Lewis crafts as skillfully as Paul did his tents and Hadassah her loaves. If you like a good story enhanced by a good education, The Seeds of Christianity Series is a sure bet for your money.”
