Tom Moon Mullins, a product of Catholic education, being schooled by the good Sisters Of Charity at Sacred Heart School, in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A., The Marist Brothers in Bayonne,& finally the Jesuits at Saint Peter\'s College, Jersey City where he earned a degree in Sociology in 1976. Tom fought crime in Jersey City, New Jersey, U.S.A., for twenty years, before retiring to the jungle of Thailand. Growing up on the tough streets of Jersey City prepared me for this job! There is an old pithy maxim that goes something like this, \"Once you have grown up in New Jersey, dealing with the rest of the world is easy!\" Dealing and combating crime wasn\'t that difficult but dealing with the politics of the Jersey City Police Department, was a whole differnt kettle of fish! My first Social Work job was at Jersey City\'s Patrick House which was a drug rehabilatation center. Afterwards, he moved on and worked at a number of different faciliities, counselling individuals who had addictive personalities! He also worked for the Division Of Youth&Family Services, the Hudson County Welfare Department, and Comp. Care, which was a mental health facility in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Tom describes himself as a jack of all trades and master of none! Tom entered law enforcement in 1984 and became a Hudson County Sheriff\'s Officer. Tom\'s father, Ed was also a Sheriff\'s Officer. I think my biggest thrill was suiting up with my father and working along side him. Being a Police Officer is a lot like Social Work, only in law enforcement, you carry a gun! Tom retired to Thailand six years ago and now teaches English.
