This is a story of a boy raised in the slums of Dharavi, the largest slum in Asia who rises above the pettiness of the ghetto life and reaches for the pinnacle of professional boxing, something that has never happened in India.
This novel is intended for the general public and people of all ages. Written in a layman's language without much jargon and sport related terminologies. Although this novel is based in India and the main readership is in India, the Indian terms used in the novel are explained for the consumption of a wider audience.
I hope that the reader takes lessons from the novel that says success happens in spite of the circumstances and not because of the circumstances.
