When scientist and explorer Michael Anderson awakes from cryo at a distant alien star, he has no idea how cold and alone he'd feel. No idea, that is, until his sole mission partner Terra starts to die in the thawing process. Twenty light years from the nearest human being, cut off completely from anyone who could help them, Michael must act quickly to save her--but if passing through cryo is like passing through death, what does it mean for those who come out alive?

About the Author
Joe Vasicek was born in Texas, grew up in Massachusetts, and has lived in Illinois, California, Utah, Washington DC, and Amman, Jordan (for one very awesome summer). He attended Brigham Young University from '06 to '10, where he studied Political Science and Middle East Studies & Arabic. He has been writing since he was 8 years old and making up stories since before that. When he isn't writing, he enjoys reading, blogging, hiking, retro-gaming, cooking Middle Eastern food, and playing accordion / Irish low whistle in the Utah Valley folk rock band Milo.
