Why a smoothie & juice bar?
In my opinion the food sector offers a big potential for new and innovative concepts. Apart from that it offers a very big market volume in comparison to other branches. Now what is so special about a smoothie & juice bar and why should you go for this concept?
These five arguments convinced me to open the first Fruteria Bar in 2007.
1. In the USA and England the Smoothie market registers an unexpected growth. During the next years another increase in sales of 15 Percent is expected.
2. The concept of a smoothie & juice bars can be realised with a relatively small amount of effort. In comparison to other gastronomic ideas you don't need a lot of capital or Know-how.
3. On the market the trend of healthy and organic food is growing. During the past years a public discussion about overweight of the population has started, which as a consequence rises the costs of health insurances. Nowadays fast food restaurants are part of almost every townscape. Use this chance and offer people a healthy alternative to Burger & Co.
4. Europe is one of the biggest markets if it comes to fruit juices with a per head consumption of 40.3 litres. During the development of the concept in Ireland I often asked myself if smoothie & juice bars would generally meet the taste of Germans or not. Many business concepts fail because of intercultural differences. In order to play it safe I made a market analysis which cleared my doubts and indicated that the Germans also love juices.
5. Shopping centres and commercial lessors love innovative concepts. During my negotiations with shopping centres and renters I was greeted with big interest in regard to my concept. Some renters even reported to me that it was quite a problem for them to find new and interesting concepts for their location.
Too often several entrepreneurs apply with the same concept for a surface, which in turn is already surrounded with existing competition. Use this advantage and make clear that your smoothie & juice bar is unique and innovative concept.
