Transgender author Teri-Louise Kelly received an Australian government grant through ARTS-SA to develop a spoken word CD of her experimental poetry. Inspired by the likes of Jack Kerouac, William S. Burroughs, Charles Bukowski and her own status as the King of Punk (having been once spit on by Sid Vicious as an autograph at an original Sex Pistols concert), Kelly's work crossed over from the undergound to the mainstream when her first book of poetry Girls Like Me was reviewed by peer-review publications and her recitals featured on ABC Radio National. Love in Words and Feet is a compilation of the spoken word poetry featured on her original CD release, designed by Transgressor digital publishing.
