There are two true stories here. One is of a foreign visitor to Indonesia who goes into a massage parlor and finds himself drawn to a short masseuse named Inul, whom he loses and wishes, even today, that he can find. The second is a story of how this visitor lands up in a small Indonesian town where the women are so hungry for love, they will give it away practically free. Triumphing over attempted repression, the women resist and overcome the institution of padlocked private parts.This is a literary piece of semi-erotica. There is sex, but much more than that, character, humor, and commentary. Henry Miller could have written something like this. Tits and pussies, longing and lust--in surrounding of Puritanism. Though the women in this piece are Indonesian Muslims, they do not hesitate to take advantage of an opportunity to engage in the world's oldest sport.
