A guide to mastery standard American English Pronunciation

I have written this book for students and teachers of ESL and EFL, for speech therapists, and for any person who wants to improve his or her English pronunciation. It contains alphabetical lists of examples of all the sounds of American English.
Most of the lists consist of the short words that everyone must know. Longer words have been selected when they are necessary for technical and scientific vocabulary.
In addition you will find two alphabetical lists of words for mastering educated English pronunciation.
When you begin a list, I recommend that you use the talking dictionary feature at dictionary.com or have a talking dictionary installed on your computer
Please consult your dictionary when you see an asterisk. These words deserve special study.
