Hello. I have written a book, it will probably be my last.

Hello. I have written a book, it will probably be my last, it’s called Schadenfreude. Schadenfreude follows the misadventures of one man in the great cities of London and Berlin. Along the way he meets two aspiring politicians called Angela and Gerhard, a Glaswegian called Helen and some Bavarians. There will be partying, cycling and a bit of tourism.

I would like you to read this book and if you like it, recommend it to everybody you know. If you do not like it, please read it again and then recommend it to everybody you know.

Hallo.

I am an under 40-something little Englander living in the big German capital.

Before moving to Berlin I spent most of adult life appreciating the internal decoration of London public houses.

Since moving to Germany I have learned the official language, integrated with the local population and contributed to its massive economy with varying degrees of success.
