Olusegun (Ogundeji) Israel has been practising as a writer/ journalist for five years. He grew up in Nigeria but now lives with his wife in Freetown, Sierra Leone spending his time writing short stories, novels and for newspapers.

Arduous Task is a work of fiction borne out of his full unagented MS, Rule 60, a literary novel about how the civil war which spilled over from Liberia to Sierra Leone in the 90s and the aftermath war crimes tribunal set up to punish those ‘who bear the greatest responsibilities’ had indelible impacts on several African states.

His other stories to appear at xinxii.com include Distress Call and Cross Over.

He is working on two manuscripts for publishing: At A White Man’s Mercy, the story of a British banker who arrives in a lesser-known part of Nigeria for a money ritual as an alternative to raise money he invested in an online sham project; and Death Warrant which dwells on the rise of secret cult groups on campuses from Nigeria to Sierra Leone. He is also planning to write Christmas War following Mali’s attack on Burkina Faso in 1985.
