Contemporary romance set in the middle of the Idaho wilderness.

This is a contemporary romance set in the middle of the Idaho wilderness that is more about the setting and the characters than it is on the romance. Therefore, this novel will appeal not only to women, but men have been known to enjoy it as well since they can relate to the hunting and male camaraderie that takes place in the novel. This novel is strictly for pleasure reading, to take you away from your daily routine and relax you with a good book.

Lyn Taylor loves her job as an Idaho wilderness hunting guide, but her world is complicated. It is a man's job in a man's world where she must constantly prove she is very capable and qualified to guide men on their hunts. On top of her father barely engaging in life since the death of Lyn's mother, Lyn has second thoughts about marrying and having a man in her life.

But that was before she met Nic Randall, a lumber man, who comes from Montana to find timber to be bid on and milled. He is convinced she can't handle the job as their guide because she is a woman and she is, of course, insulted. Nevertheless, neither has much choice and are forced to spend day and night together for the seven day hunt. Lyn is not happy -- just how much is a confident, independent woman suppose to put up with?

I have been writing since about the late 1980s shortly after I got out of the US Navy in 1988. I completed Wilderness Heart way back then, but shelved it for over 20 years because life got in the way of my writing. Due to my niece's encouragement to get back into my writing after editing her book this past year, I now need to finish some of the other books I started those many years ago and hopefully publish some of them. I like writing mainstream, romance, & murder mysteries. I have an idea for a sort of self-help bibliography, a murder mystery and a steamier romance set in Alaska. I also love photography and shooting sunset/sunrise pictures, and I love to travel.

I work a regular 8-5 day job as an Administrative Assistant, Office Manger, Bookkeeper, Research Analyst and Technical Writer/Editor for five real estate appraisers. I am a mother of two -- one daughter and one son, and have three grandchildren.
