Ceri grew up in a small town in Wales, UK before travelling. She spent a few months in New Hampshire, USA and around 6 months in Berlin, Germany (not counting the months spent working on a cruise ship) before settling down back in the UK. She dabbled in writing here and there but it wasn't until she became a school librarian that she began to take it seriously. She was asked for types of books by the students that didn't exist at the time or there just weren't enough of them. So the idea was borne - She was going to write one. Ceri wrote in the summer holidays and 'tested' the story on the students in the school year. It took about 9 months to write and three years to edit! Children of the Elementi is the result.
