Piezoelectric High Resolution 3D Laser Scanners/Deflectors

Presentation deals with new approach in design and investigation of high resolution laser beam intensity and direction control in space systems, based on developing Active piezoelectric 1-st class (one degree-of-freedom, DOF) and 3-rd (three DOF) class kinematic pairs, in which transformation of multi-directional resonant oscillations into continuous or start-stop motion is taking place. The frequency of oscillations lies in the range of 20 kHz to 10 MHz, amplitude up to 5 μm, and that enable to realize high resolution (10-6 rad), combined with high speed of laser beam direction control in space (up to 20 rad/s).
