Pulsed Jet Actuators (PJAs) are micro fluidic devices, which are used for different applications that require a directed and pulsed airflow. For the integration of such a system into composite structures, commercial solutions are not feasible anymore. Their large space allocation is the limiting factor. This paper highlights the design aspects that are necessary for the development of a miniaturized PJA system. Beside this, the design of a very flat layer based design will be discussed.
