University educated with multiple degrees in psychology, philosophy, clinical psychology, English, religious studies, and cinema. Trained and worked professionally as a counselor and psychotherapist in healthcare and mental health. Teacher of adult learners in University, clinical, and business settings.
His poetic work is primarily viewed as dialogical and devotional love poems that celebrate the goddess and feminine nature. Jung's concept of the anima is widely represented throughout Kavi's writings, Kavi's love poems are spiritual and temporal poems of devotion speaking equally to divine love and the power of love between persons in relationship. His work is dedicated to empowering the freedom of individuals to love others, make changes, and transform themselves for empowerment and freedom. His work is influenced by Goddess mythologies, the philosophical and dialogical philosophy of Martin Buber, dialogue, Jungian archetypes, dialectics, feminism, psychological development and transformation, and mysticism. In his teens and twenties, Kavi was a recognized mystic within a spiritual community of adherents who publicly validated his mysticism.
All of these influences have played a role in his poetic and artistic expressions.show less
