This study, WOMEN-IN-TRANSFORMATION CRITIQUE OF KERIMA POLOTAN-TUVERA’S SHORT STORIES analyzes how woman-in-transformation signification is revealed in Kerima Polotan-Tuvera’s The Trap, The Virgin, and The Sound of Sunday. Specifically, it deals on the how women-in-transformation are shown in the plot structures, characterizations of female protagonists, fictional conflicts, and fictional themes.
The study used the qualitative method in deciphering the thematic analysis of Kerima Polotan-Tuvera’s short stories, The Trap, The Virgin, and The Sound of Sunday using the formalistic, mimetic and feministic point of views in analyzing the plot structures, characterizations of the female protagonists in transformation, the fictional conflict and theme of woman in transformation.
